VANCOUVER BASED DESIGNER ASHLEY WATSON
and
her staff handcraft her one-of-a-kind leather products using
exclusively recycled material. She began designing handbags with
recycled leather in early 2005, inspired by the original features of
soft and gently worn jackets purchased from charity thrift stores. She
ultimately incorporates these features, such as pockets and seams, into
each unique bag or wallet design.
With
an extensive background in studio art, Ashley brings an innovative and
environmentally sound approach to fashion design, creating products that
are practical, sophisticated, and, above all, distinctive.

North America, and are now available in select stores in Europe, Asia

A
little on how it works... every bag is made from a leather piece of
clothing (mostly jackets) and is totally one of a kind. We cut and sew
everything by hand in our studio in Vancouver, BC, Canada. We do not dye
any leather – the colours of the bags are totally subject to what we
find in the leather jackets. We can't guarantee any specific colours as
our colours are based on what we have in stock at the time since we buy
our leather in small batches at charity thrift stores. All of the items
that are on this site, however, are for sale. All of the pockets and
details on the bags are incorporated from the piece of clothing that we
start from which makes each piece unique. Also, since the leather is
secondhand, some bags may appear to have irregularities – we believe
this adds character to your one-of-a-kind piece. Please be aware that
slight colour variations may occur due to differences in computer
monitors.
